Smart Flock Elite comes with a guaranteed 28 day turnaround time, demonstrating Neogen Australasia’s commitment to providing Australian sheep breeders with a premium genotyping service.

To qualify for this offer, samples must be submitted as tissue sampling units (TSUs), be accompanied by a correctly completed electronic submission form, and be correctly identified.

In the event that Neogen Australasia does not return Smart Flock Elite results in 28 days, a discount of 10% will be applied as a credit to the customer’s Sheep DNA account.

  • The TAT guarantee only applies to the Smart Flock Elite product. Add-on testing does not qualify.
  • The TAT guarantee only applies to TSU samples, and assumes all samples are provided in a manner that is suitable for testing.
  • The TAT guarantee only applies to submission forms that are submitted electronically, and assumes:
    • the submission form is provided to Neogen Australasia on the same day, or prior to the samples arriving at the lab.
    • the submission form is completed correctly
    • the samples listed in the submission form match the samples provided.
  • The TAT guarantee is measured as 28 calendar days from the time from when the order is created in Neogen Australasia’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to when the GGP Ovine 50K genotypes are provided to Sheep Genetics via Sharefile, excluding public holidays.
  • Neogen Australasia is not responsible for the upload of the genotypes into Sheep Genetics, nor the use of the genotypes in the services provided by Sheep Genetics (e.g. calculation of genomically enhanced ASBVs, parent verification, horn-poll results).
  • The TAT guarantee does not apply to samples that fail testing in the lab due to poor sample quality.
  • In the event that Neogen Australasia does not meet the guaranteed TAT of 28 days, the customer is entitled to a 10% discount per sample. The discount will be applied ex GST and ex MLA fee.
  • The discount will be applied as a credit to the customer’s SheepDNA account and deducted from the next order the customer submits to Neogen Australasia.
  • The TAT guarantee applies to Smart Flock Elite orders received from September 1st 2024 onwards.
